If an order you have placed was not executed, one of these reasons can explain why:
- Market is closed.
Saxo Bank does support the placement of orders while the market is closed. The order will get executed once market is open.
You can see whether the market is open or not by finding the instrument and see details on the top-left side of the page. You can see either Market closed, or Market opened.
- Your order price is not matching a market price.
You can always amend the order price by going to:
- Portfolio > Orders
- Find your order and click on the icon on the far-right side.
- Choose Modify Order
- Edit order price and amount.
Note that is it not possible to edit an order "type". To do that, you need to cancel the order and place a new one.
